Eliezer Calvi comes from a line of Italian descendants from the Northern Italian city of Veneto. The family established in Espírito Santo, Brazil, to search for rare minerals and gold. Then, around 1900, they started growing coffee. However, it took decades for the plants to adapt because in those days the region was too cold for the newly introduced plants. Today the climate there has warmed, making Castelo a unique terroir to produce high floral aromatics with an orange flower twist.

The processing on the Calvi farm is small but neatly put together with hand-operated de-pulped and tiled washing boxes where the coffees are wash fermented for 24 hours before they’re taken to the patio. This gives Sitio Vista Linda coffee a crisp and clean flavor with higher acidity and floral aromas.
