When creating seasonal blends like Winter Solstice, we aim to capture and celebrate the joy of that particular season. The blend should highlight the strength of the components, as well as present a totally new tasting experience. This winter season, our roastery team has chosen two coffees that, when carefully blended, create a soothing blend perfect for chilly mornings ahead.
El Salvador’s El Porvenir lays the foundation for the blend, providing a delightfully sweet and lively, vibrant body. To achieve the jammy red fruits we come to expect from Winter Solstice, Gatomboya from Kenya was chosen for its delicate balance of acidity and sweetness. The combined efforts of El Porvenir and Gatomboya culminate in the final cup, with deep cranberry jam, sugar plums and spiced cinnamon, perfect for a crisp winter morning.
